WILL HIGHFIELD BOOKKEEPING AND TAX 603 E. Emma St., Lafayette, CO 80026   720-351-2249 Income Tax Preparation for Single Member LLCs Sole Proprietors Individuals
I’m an Enrolled Agent, which is a Federally licensed tax preparer. Unlike other tax preparer licenses which are granted by the individual States, it gives me the right to represent any US taxpayer in the world before the IRS in any tax matter. I’ve chosen to specialize in small “pass- through” businesses which file their taxes on a Schedule C attached to their 1040 tax returns. I’ve owned and operated three businesses in my career - woodworking (still in business), estimating, and tax preparation. I like being an independant businessman. It is both fulfilling and challenging. One of the keys to success in any business is to surround yourself with knowledgable, hard working people. Good tax advice and proper tax preparation should be at the top of your list. But there is more. You need to know the basics of good bookkeeping, record keeping, having necessary insurance, permits and licenses. You may also need to write contracts, master customer relation skills, and other business skills. I offer individual consultations on how to start a business, or if you have a circle of friends who are interested I can consult with you as a group. I teach a class called “The Nuts and Bolts of Starting a Business,”  for Boulder Valley School District’s LifeLongLearning program. The class meets Monday evenings for two hours on Jan. 29, Feb. 5, and Feb. 12, 2018. You must register to attend. Click here to register. I also prepare individual 1040 tax returns for clients at a reasonable cost. Give me a call if you would like to talk about it. Will Highfield E.A.
